OneSearch and Library Catalogue developments

The OneSearch discovery service will be upgraded on Monday 20th August and we anticipate it being unavailable for most of that day. Please use the Catalogue to find material in the Library and the Databases Guide if you need journal articles.

Following previous announcements about the impending replacement of the Library Catalogue with the OneSearch discovery service we would also like to announce that the Library Catalogue will be removed from service on the 23rd August.

Staff and students at Lancaster have been using the OneSearch discovery service since October 2011. Intended as a combined replacement for the Catalogue and MetaLib, OneSearch has proved very popular and offers a flexible platform for development to meet the changing needs of Library users in the years to come.

You will be able to use OneSearch to manage your loan renewals and hold requests in much the same way as the old Catalogue, and if you have any items in the Catalogue e-Shelf they will be transferred to the OneSearch e-Shelf.

If you have any queries about this then please contact us through our Ask a Librarian service.
